Archie Smith, Boy Wonder

A long time ago, mystical creatures ruled the earth. They each ruled
a piece of land. Some of them were friendly and some were not.
They roamed the planet peacefully until humans were born. The
humans disliked the mystical creatures living with them, so they
decided to wipe them out. They created armies, weapons and
magic to defeat these creatures. Slowly, the kingdoms of mystical
creatures fell. After dark days of bloody battles, the humans nally
won. They thought they had actually wiped out the entire population
of the mystical species, but the actually didnt. One type mystical
creature went into hiding before the war begun. They wanted to
protect their future generations, and they live until today. Now they
roam the planet secretly to avoid being discovered, they are called
Boy Wonders. Endangered from being killed from and old enemy,
they were desperate to nd a new leader.

Rain tattered down on the roofs of the shops in the streets of New
York city. A young boy was walking down the street, he was nearly
eleven. His full name was Archie Smith, he walked the streets of
New York to his home. Rain wet his plain white and blue uniform, he
was attending American International School. Archie was in Grade
4. It was nearly the end of the school year, he was also looking
forward to the summer holidays. He was afraid he would catch a
cold walking in the rain without an umbrella and couldnt board the
plane to sunny Hawaii, so he ran. Archie was good at everything
just like his parents but maybe not everything. He was always one
of the top students in his class. Archies parents were extremely
rich, they could afford anything. Archies parents were nice, they
sent lots of money to the charity but they especially did not like
video games! They thought it was useless and bad, they did let him
play it but only for awhile. Unlike Archie, his friends were allowed to
play 10 hours of video games a day! Reader, I hope you dont play
10 hours of video games non-stop each day, it is really bad for your
eyes and brain. Well, now time to get back to the real story. Archie
was wondering, Would it be another normal day or not? he
thought. He decided and hoped that it was going to be another
normal day, but nothing could prepare him for what was coming.

Meanwhile Archie was lost in his thoughts, the Boy Wonders were
also thinking, they were thinking how to nd their true leader. The
fortune teller had told them that they would nd him in New York
city. All available Boy Wonders were sent to nd their true leader.
Searching far and wide the Boy Wonders quickly gained advantage
of nding their leader little by little as more Boy Wonders came to
join the search. Now every single boys bedroom had a Boy Wonder
in it. There wasnt a single Boy Wonder in a girls bedroom. You
know why? Because the fortune teller said that the leader would be
a he not a she. Boy Wonders have no names and or genders, so I
can not tell which Boy Wonder was in Archies bedroom. The Boy
Wonder in Archies room thought that it had found the leader, so it
called its friends over to enter Archie bedroom. The Boy Wonder felt
safer around its friends so it entered Archies room with its friends
following close behind. Archie slowly woke up, it was midnight so he
felt really tired. He saw bright things oating around his room, he
didnt care, he was too tired to bother. Then a tiny voice askedIs he
the one?. Archies vision blurred and he fell asleep.

When Archie woke up he no longer felt his soft comfy bed but the
face of the earth. Archie especially did not like getting dirty. He
didnt like the feeling of dirt, it made him uncomfortable. He tried
getting up but the ropes that were tied him were not giving away. He
tugged and tugged, pulled and pulled but the ropes wouldnt give
away. He tried everything he could do, from pulling to shouting.His
muscles ached, he tried calling for help but nobody came. He yelled
for a long time, but still nobody came. His voice became hoarse and
his muscles ached even more, then he thought Why bother yelling
my head off even when nobody is going to help me?. So Archie
stopped yelling and just lied on the earth and relaxed until
somebody came along to rescue him. He waited for someone to
come to rescue him until he fell asleep. The next morning, Archie
woke up. The birds were tweeting and the morning dew was
dripping from bright green leaves. The bright yellow morning
sunshine shone on him. Archie eyes nearly popped out, it was just
too beautiful! Since Archie was a city boy, he didnt know how
nature could be so beautiful. He had heard lots of stories from his
friends of how the country sight was so beautiful and saw lots of
pictures, but he had never really seen a forest before. After
admiring the beautiful view Archie started to think how to escape,
unfortunately for him he had run out of ideas. Archie felt hopeless,
he felt that nobody cared for him at all. A rufe sound interrupted his
thoughts, Who could it be that early in the morning? Archie
wondered. Suddenly out from the bushes oated a bright yellow
thing, the bright thing oated over to Archie and started to talk. The
bright thing talked and talked, Archie felt scared. The bright thing
talked and talked. Suddenly Archie didnt feel scared at all, he felt
that it was really funny that the bright thing was talking to itself.
Archie chuckled softly and thought What the heck is that? And why
is it talking to itself! As he laughed, the thing stopped talking and
stared at him. Well maybe not stare at him since Boy Wonders
dont have eyes, but Archie felt like it was staring at him. A cold
wave of air hit him. He didnt feel brave anymore, he felt scared.
What do you want? Archie stammered. I dont want anything, I
want you. It replied. The Boy Wonder talking to him was the royal
sorcerer. After that happened, days passed. Archie slowly begun to
understand why the Boy Wonders needed him. After a few days of
persuading, Archie nally accepted to be their leader. There was
great rejoice as he accepted to be their leader.

Years passed since he accepted to be the Boy Wonders leader,
Archie became old and he died. He had ruled the kingdom well.
Archie didnt have a wife so there was nobody to replace Archie, but
since the Boy Wonders didnt need a ruler so they didnt nd one.
When he died, every single Boy Wonder attended his funeral. They
buried him in the earths core, the best place ever to be buried
because nobody can break in his tomb. Even though Archie had
already died, the Boy Wonders always remembered him as Archie
Smith, The Boy Wonder.
