Hand in work on time

Assignment Format
All out-of-class major writing assignments will be submitted via turnitin.com and must be typed
using a 12-point font and double-spaced. Make sure that the font is clear and legible, i.e., Times
New Roman. I will not provide a word count, but rather a page count; however, the general rule
of thumb for word count is 1 page equals 250 words following the above mentioned formatting.
Students need to take deadlines, page limits, and the format of the assignment seriously.
Assignments that do not follow proper formatting will be returned unmarked. As well, students
are required to cite any outside sources used, including information paraphrased, and they must
include an attached Works Cited page at the end of the paper (I will go over MLA style in class).

Plagiarism
Plagiarism is a serious offense; it will be brought to the attention of the Vice Principal's office.
Plagiarized work will result in a grade of "zero" as well as an "academic dishonesty" for the
assignment and can result in a grade of "zero" for the course, as well as academic
suspension/expulsion.
Communication
Students are highly encouraged to see me if they require any additional assistance. I do make
myself available before school, at lunch, and after school if the times are arranged with me in
advance. For any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at the school at
(403) 248-2773 or kadaouih@cislive.ca (E-mail).
I wish you much success in the course. Good luck!
