CATCH A GLIMPSE OF DADU Today, I am going to share this information about District Dadu, hope that this information will be useful and have done my best to write the latest information based on current situations and analysis. Dadu is a district of Sindh Province, Pakistan. Dadu District was created in 1933 by the British Indian administration, there are 3 Talukas in District Dadu,their names are, Johi, K.N Shah, Mehar, and total no of Deh is 108 (Johi consist of 79 Deh, K.N Shah consist of 24 Deh and Mehar on 05 Deh), that are totally affected by the flood of 2010 and heavy rain fall of 2011/12 and people of District Dadu are still facing the chronic situation of food insecurity and other problems like, malnutrition, food, fodder, safe drinking water and they are migrating to the Barage side Areas as well as to urban areas for survival etc. Boundaries of District Dadu in the East there is District Naushahroferoz, in the West there is District Khuzdar and Qalat, in the North District Larkana and in the South District Jamshoro. Geographical Area (Sq. km) is 7,557, and total population of District Dadu is 1,681,821 (Male 873,019, Female 808,803), total Urban population of Dadu is 359,910 (Male 186,826, Female 173,084) and total Rural population is 1,321,912 (Male 686,193 Female 635,719). 86% of Households have Access to Safe Drinking Water (Tap water 8%, Hand Pump 57%, Motor Pump 21%) and access to sanitation facilities total 90% of Households with Access to toilets (Flush Toilets 36%, Non Flush Toilets 54%).Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) is 74% and Wasting Rates 13.60%. Total no of animals is Cattle 366,350, Buffalo 179,190, Sheep 358,750, Goat 563,770, there is a lot of fodder problem for animals and that is also the major cause of migration and due to the growth in migration ratio education is also being affected no of school attendance is gradually decreasing day by day.
