This is great. Your staff will be attending the same Institute as the CSUS staff
, so I think there
will be opportunity for university staff to discuss ways you might be incorporat
ing content into
college courses. My assistant, Dawn King , will be your contact for the Institut
e. She will email
you with details for payment, and she will email staff with reminder emails abou
t the times and
location.
We will be hosting this 5 day workshop in Turlock at the Larsa Banquet Hall on M
onte Vista
Way, just a few miles past the CSUS campus, almost when you get to Denair. It is
a beautiful
facility and they cater the event for us as well.
Great to have your staff involved. You can add faculty who may be interested up
to about a week
before the Institute begins. That is when we begin printing materials and making
final
arrangements with the facility for food.

It was great meeting both of you today and sharing ideas about the paradigm chan
ges associated
with Common Core and Smarter Balanced Assessments. I have some additional worksh
op dates
that may be another alternative for some of your faculty to attend, based on the
ir academic
calendar demands.
We are hosting an Institute for Turlock Unified School District in Turlock on th
ese dates,
all Mondays:
February 25, March 4, March 11, March 18, and March 25
If these date work best for some of your professors, please let me know. Our off
ice would
welcome teams from Brandman at any and all of the upcoming Institutes. Please ju
st provide me
the names and email contact of interested faculty for each workshop series and w
e will do the
rest.
For the Institute that begins on January 10, we would appreciate hearing from yo
u by the end of
December. We will be preparing training materials and handouts during the first
week of January
and it is nice to have an accurate count for the printing. In addition, we like
to inform the caterer
with the correct number of attendees.
