Reflection on session 4 Discussion

Rene NG
Nowadays, there are lots of digital natives. They always use mobile
device every day but they are not good digital learners. Even
though teenagers use smart phone or laptop every day to extend
their experience of using digital device, it is not evident to observe
their learning ability are increasing. In my class in primary 4,
students need to familiarize with EPH Reader which is a could
system developed by Modern Publishing Limited, plenty of students
also have to learn how to use the learning system before they
actually learn subjects knowledge. Although we also need to take a
time for students to learn the system before, students are digital
natives are easier to familiarize with e-learning since their
knowledge are empirical and extensive(Lenhart and Maddon, 2005).
No matter how the world become more and more digital, the first
principle of teaching is the performance. To achieve this goal, TLRPs
evidence-informed pedagogic principles shows how schools respond
to the e-learning.
There are:
1. Equips learners for life in its broadest sense
2. Engages with valued forms of knowledge
3. Recognizes the importance of prior experience and learning
4. Requires learning to be scaffolded
5. Assessment to be congruent with learning
6. Promotes the active engagement of the learner
7. Fosters both individual and social processes and outcomes
8. Recognizes the significance of informal learning
9. Support the learning of others
10. Consistent policy frameworks with support for learning as their
primary focus
In case school can follow the above principles to design curriculum,
the system of digital education is going to success.
