COMPONENTS OF ELECTRIC CIRCUIT

SOURCE
1. Generators are used when there is brownout or blackout. They are also used to operate
water pumps and other lightning system.

2. Batteries is usually the source of a circuits. Portable circuits such as flashlights,

transistor, radios, and portable television use batteries.

FUSE
Is either a wire or a strip of metal. it breaks the circuit when the electric current exceeds
the amount of electricity required

CONDUCTOR
Are materials which allows the flow
of electrons metal is the most common
conductor. Other good conductors are water,
silver, copper, steel and aluminum

INSULATOR
Are materials which do not allow electric
current to pass through. They are mostly nonmetals.
Examples: wood, plastic, glass and rubber

LOAD
The load can be any component that uses
electricity to do work:
Light
Coil
Motor
SWITCH
Is a device that opens or close the flow of electrons in a
circuit. It is usually covered with plastic to prevent touching the wire
