What is a region?

How do geographers determine

regions?

A region (in my words) is land separated by their culture,

climate, and agriculture. For example, Northeast is colder; they
have a lot of history with our countrys beginnings (pilgrims and
settlers), and different resources. Meanwhile, Southwest is
warmer, they have lots of different cultures (Native Americans,
etc.) and they farm soybeans. This is how geographers
determine regions; by their differences and similarities.
