November 11

Iron Mike
The Tomb of The
Unknown Soldier
An unidentified soldier was
found on November 11, 1921
and was buried at Arlington
National Cemetery in
Washington D.C. There is an
official wreath laying
ceremony every year and the
president or a high ranking
government official lays the
wreath down.

Iron Mike is a 15 foot

statue that is dedicated to
thousands of soldiers that
have protected America
and are still doing so
today. These soldiers are
always watching, waiting,
and are alert. The statue
is at the traffic circle at
Randolph and Armistead
Streets on Fort Bragg.

Not Just The US

Did you know that Britain,
France, Australia, and Canada
also celebrate the veterans
who serve. They do it on or
around November 11. Canada
has Remembrance Day and
Britain has Remembrance
Sunday. Britain has two
minutes of silence to honor the
veterans who served in word
war 1 and 2.
