Student Learning Outcomes: (SLOs):

Psychomotor: SWBAT pass the basketball to their group members using the correct cues
of the skill. They will be able to complete the bounce pass and the chest pass dependant
on what their turn is.
Cognitive: SWBAT know whether they are to bounce pass or chest pass to their partner.
Their partner will be standing on a piece of equipment and each equipment means a
different type of pass.
Affective: SWBAT work within their groups and recognize if their partners are doing it
wrong and helping them figure out how to do it right. In order for the lesson to go well
they must work together and communicate effectively with their teammates.
Health-related fitness: SWBAT recognize that their heart beat is high because they will be
combining all the skills they learned throughout the week at a fast jogging pace.

Explaining that the
students will be
working on their
passing
Students will be in
groups of 4 working
on their chest and
bounce pass. They
will be in a straight
line about 5 yards
away. They will
throw it to the
person in front of
them using a chest
pass. On the way
back they will then
use the bounce pass.
Explain that game
of hula hoop poly
pass
There will be half of
the class with a
basketball and the
other half of the
class either on a
poly spot or inside
of a hula-hoop. The
person with the
basketball is to
dribble around and
then they will pass
to a person in a
hula-hoop or in a
poly spot. If they
pass to the person in
the poly spot then
they will do a
bounce pass, and if
they pass to a
person in a hulahoop they will chest
pass it. After they
complete a pass they
will dribble and find
someone else

Students will be
asked to help
demonstrate so that
they understand
Tell them when to
use bounce pass and
when to use chest
pass.
