Flashcard Matching Game

Directions:
1. Students must sort out and place the flashcards into two different piles.
2. The two different piles will be: Common Nouns and Proper Nouns
Common Noun: A noun, such as boat or man, that represents one
or all of the members of a class.
Proper Noun: A noun, such as Titanic or George Washington, belonging to the class of
words used as names for unique individuals, events, or places.

Directions for Teacher:


1. Print out each flashcard in color on cardstock paper.
2. Laminate each flashcard so they will last longer.
3. Keep all flashcards inside a large ziplock or folder.

Common Noun: A general name for a person, place, or thing.
