CHILDHOOD
Demetria Devonne Lovato was born on
August 20, 1992 in Albuquerque, New
Mexico and she also has ancestry Irish,
Italian and English. She is an actress,
singer and songwriter
Lovato was grown up in Dallas, Texas
with her friend Selena Gomez, she
began her acting career on the
children's television series Barney &
Friends as Angela.
She began playing piano at age seven
and guitar at ten years.

Career as an actress
Demi began her acting career recording around
2000 episodes about the children's television
series Barney & Friends.

In 2008, Lovato starred in the Disney Channel

movie, Camp Rock. She played Mitchie Torres, a
fourteen-year-old hoping to become a singer.
Next, Lovato became the star of the Disney
serie, Sonny with a Chance, on February 2009 in
the United States.
In June 2009 she starred in the Disney Channel
Original Movie, Princess Protection Program.

DISCOGRAPHY
Lovato released her debut album Do not Forget
on September 23, 2008. The album debuted at
number 2 on the Billboard 200 selling 89,000
copies the first week. It was based on pop rock
and power pop genres, the Jonas Brothers helped
compose some of the songs.
She released her second album, Here We Go
Again, in July 2009. The album was more inspired
by acoustic music by the pop rock sound of her
debut album.
And her final album Demi released in may 2013
in its first week it sold 215,000 copies and became
the third biggest selling single in early 2013 a
week.

INFLUENCES
Lovato has listed Kelly Clarkson, Christina
Aguilera, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight,
Billy Gilman and Billie Holiday among her
musical influences.
Lovato listened to metal music in her
teens, and has said that John Mayer's
songwriting has been a "huge influence"
on her.
Lovato is a mezzo-soprano and has been
complimented throughout her career for
her voice.

PERSONAL LIFE
In March 2009 Lovato said, "My first passion is
music, because it comes naturally to me. Acting
has been like a hobby.

In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Demi

admitted suffering bullying in seventh course. In
the interview, Lovato spoke of painful
experiences.
According to Lovato, the bullying was so bad that
one day, in a fit of frustration and distress, she
requested her mom give her a home education.
Lovato is a Christian, She pray with her band
before their performance.
