Biography: Ximena L Villarroel

My name is Ximena Villarroel I was

born in Lima, Peru and raised in Miami Fl. I
currently reside in Jacksonville, FL and attend
the University of North Florida majoring in
Nutrition and Dietetics expecting to graduate
May of 2015. I come from a blended family,
with a mixture of cultures.
Over the years I have gotten privilege to
travel to multiple countries, France being my favorite. I acquired a love for food in the
streets of Paris, and have since then explored a variety of cuisines. I am bilingual
speaking both English and Spanish as my primary language. I struggled learning the
English language as a child and did not overcome this challenge till about the 5th grade.
On my spare time I enjoy expressing my creativity through painting. Visuals arts
has been a hobby of mine for many years, becoming one of my favorite past times.
During high school I received a best of show award in the beaux of arts contest, at the
University of Miami.
Volunteering has always been an important part of my life. Through this practice I
have developed a strong interest in the medical field, particularly in pediatrics. My goal
one day is to become a physician assistant and embark on a Peace Corps mission trip.
