To Whom It May Concern:

I have had the pleasure of working with Yvonne Lawson during the fall of 2013. Yvonne was a
student of mine in TEL 311, a course designed to prepare individuals for instruction and classroom
management with a diverse population. I can attest to her high level of precision of content in her
planning and instructional delivery.
Yvonne formulates clear, concise objectives when planning lessons. Varied learning styles are
incorporated into her instructional strategies and activities. She consistently used multiple techniques
to engage all students throughout her lessons and as a result time on task was maximized.
Yvonne structures her lessons in such a way that encourages student creativity. She always
incorporated opportunities that allowed students to add a dimension of novelty to their work. In
addition, Yvonnes enthusiasm and concern for students are dynamic forces that guide the learning
for all in the classroom.
Yvonne is a proactive, effective individual who is demanding of herself. She is open to implementing
new concepts and believes that professional growth is continuous. She follows through on every
project and always completes what she sets out to do. She was receptive to suggestions on how to
improve her work and as a result, her assignments were of the highest quality.
Yvonne has set high, achievable goals for her future. She is determined to work hard to succeed.
She also embraces the fact that she is a role model who must exhibit a strong sense of value for
education for her students. Yvonne is forthright, competent, caring and intrinsically motivated.
Yvonne is a talented woman who will make a difference in her students lives. She demonstrates
exceptional ability to grow as a professional educator and will be a valuable addition to any school
campus.
