were mainly two)
There were numerous revolts somewhere around 1765 and 1856. The
individuals who revolted were fundamentally denied landowners, disbanded
officers, tribal individuals and ruined workers and artisans. These uprisings
vouch for the steady disappointment of the individuals against the British
misuse. This hatred brought about various uprisings; the most noteworthy
among was the rebellion of 1857.
2. What were the tribal revolts? Why did they take place?

1) The Indian soldiers were paid very little wages compared to the British
soldiers.
2) The Indian soldiers were considered inferior to the British soldiers and were
continuously abused and humiliated.

highest rank they could get was the post of a subedar.
