How do I envision a dynamic instructional cycle?

To begin with, create a new lesson plan have to base in some rule. For instance,
objective is the most important things that I have to follow it in my lesson as the
lesson will be about how to achieve this objective whiles the end of the lesson.
(Lewis, n.d) In addition, as a teacher I know what the students learn from the lesson
by looking for them work in the worksheet, experience, homeworketc. for
example, during my teaching practice last semester I remember one of my math
lesson about the quadrilaterals as I did a homework for the students as a worksheet
and when I start to correct it I found that some students have misunderstand in the
concept. In order for that, I re-explain the difficulties in different way to make sure
that all the learner understand the lesson.
In addition, during the lesson I have to do complete four stages which are engage,
explore, explain, elaborate and explain as each stage is step for the next one. To
have an example in my teaching practice I use to engage the students to the lesson
because it is help me to involve the students to me and they give me there attention
during the rest of the class if I have a good start. To be specifically, in the college
when I have a lesson my attention depend to the teacher start how he engage me as
if I like the beginning I like to involve more to know what the rest of the lesson. But if
the engage is boring or difficulty I will prefer to do something else instead of
listening to something that I think it is not my level or boring. According to kyriacou,
boring cause misbehavior in the classroom so in order for that engage stage should
to useful, interactive and interesting for the level of learning to avoid misbehavior.
(Kyriacou, 2007).

Moreover, the instructions are also good to differentiate it in the classroom in order
to have suitable lesson. Such as sign a song about the lesson is good idea as the
audience students learn form listening and the information will stick with them
more. And, picture is good resource for visual learning because they learn from
watching, observation and see the picture as they link what they see to the
information to have better understanding. From my perspective, I am an audience
students and I prefer to listen more than watching or doing so I remember that I like
when the teacher play record voice or video because I keep it in my mind and I
remember it. (The Visual (Spatial) Learning Style, 2014)

How might I apply different learning perspectives in my instructional

decisions?
When I design a lesson plan is should to have a specific instructional decisions. For
instance when I plan for science lesson the method that I will use it is learning by
doing which means is established in learning the skills by practice it not just knowing
the information. (Learning By Doing: 7, 2010) in addition, I use this method in
teaching science because the students have to test things by themselves first to get
the information as the teacher is a guide for them. It is remind me of my teaching
practice now as use this strategy in my science lesson and when I have observation
with my MCT he mention that using this method is better for the students because
they keep remember the information as the test and know it become.
Also, I apply skinner method which is reinforcing students if they did good response
during the lesson such as excellent answer, thinking, good behavioretc. as this to
reinforce them to achieve more in the lesson. From my teaching practice I use group
chart that is each group have a chart for them achievement and if they did a good
job in current activity for example I reward them by give them start, happy face that
make them involve more. Otherwise, punishment is also good choice when they did
misbehave such as today one students was talking while her friends is explaining
them experiment I stop her and I remind her of having sad face to her name if she
did it again and she stop talking to the end of the lesson. My opinion, is using skinner
strategy is good as it is control the students interaction in the lesson and help me to
give them clear instructions.

What elements are needed to ensure an active learning environment

for every student?
There are several elements that ensure the active learning environment. To begin
with I use learning by doing in my teaching so in order to make it success I make a
rule for the class as it is include the students behavior in the lesson and how they
interact. For example one of my rule respect your friend idea while you are work in
group as from my observation some students like to do everythings what they think
it is right and they did not listen to them friend perspective. Also, provide material is
important in order to learn by doing. For instance, when I did a science experience to
test hypothesis I have to provide all the material that the students will use it to make
sure that they get the idea. To be specifically, during this teaching practice I learn

that I have to provide the materials for all the group because some of the students
want to test the experience by using different things according to them thinking.
From my opinion, cooperative group is must been seen in learning doing because in
the group you can find different thinking skills and idea as working together and
sharing the idea can lead to new information in some cause and this the objective of
have active learning.

Questions

Why cooperative learning is part of having active learning?

Why learning by doing is suitable method to teach science?

Is there any method to teach science?

Why the teachers have to differentiate the activity for the different learning style?
