Materials
Materials is another factor I need to take into consideration when creating my 3-4 minute single
camera drama as I need to make sure all actors are dressed to suit the parts they portray in the
drama also weather the script makes sense and flows when shooting, but these are only a few things
to consider. The audio is a thing to think about because I have to make sure all the dialog being
spoken in the drama is loud enough to be heard by the audience at home weather this means making
the audio louder in editing room or just re shooting the footage to make sure the dialog is loud
enough. I would probably use a microphone to record the audio to make sure there is no back noise
and the voices are heard clearly. I would need to think about the costumes that my actors would need
to wear as they would need to look in character. The costumes may cost depending weather I can get
them for hire or only to purchase. All together I think the majority of the costumes can be found from
home, for some scenes of the drama such as the forensics lab as we are filming it in Demon fort
university in the forensic labs there they have all the costumes to wear so some costumes we can get
for no price at all. My group would need to invest in props for out drama such as some rope for a
scene at the start of the drama, props are needed to make the drama look more realistic to the
audience watching the drama. The music being used in the drama would either be our own as we can
create music or if we borrow some of real artists music content we would need to get permission as
this is for educational use only and not for online viewing.
Other materials such as the storyboard, treatment and script is all produced by the group so we have
the right documents to produce a single camera drama. We need the storyboard to be done so we
can see whether the shots we have composed onto paper look good and flow well when acted out
and shown in person. The script is a must because we need to give this to the actors so they can get
a feel of what the story is about and what their lines are.
