Medieval Football

Materials/equipment: large and heavy ball Space: basketball court

Number of participants: groups of 6-10.
Duration: 2 parts of 5 minutes
Depending of the number of children that are going to
take part.

Task description:
-It is played between two different groups, involving a limited number of players, who are going to fight for the
position of a large and heavy ball. The only limit in this game is to leave the court.

-Itch group have to touch the basket with the ball to score but after, the group have to move from one
side to the other side making passes only with the hands.
-Is a non-contact game, so to get the possession we have to steal the ball when is in the air.

Norms/rules:
-If the ball touch the ground the possession must change to the other team.
-it is forbidden to push the opponent
-the ball cant be touched with the feet
-the captain of each group must be de member of the group who have to score.
-the captain who scores must respond to a question of the history of medieval football. If the answer is correct the
team will get one point but if they dont answer, the other team has the option to win one point.
-before that the role of the captain must changed
