Creation of the Highland Lakes Dam System won 1st Place at the
O. Henry Middle School Competition in Austin, Texas; won 1st Place in the
Central Texas Regional Competition at The LBJ School of Public Affairs,
The University of Texas at Austin; won 2nd Place in the Texas History Day
Competition at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin, Texas;
and competed in the National History Day Contest in Washington, D.C.
in June, 2010
