Leadership

 Special Care Teen Service Board (President, Vice President, Fundraising Chairman and
Past President Liaison)- Over 300 hours spent recruiting, and managing fifty teen board
members, scheduling and organizing monthly parties for the students, fundraising,
working with board liaison to coordinate events, managing finances and presenting to
United Way. (9, 10,11, 12)
 Peer Leader at Heritage Hall: Interviewed and selected by faculty and administration.
We meet weekly with twelve ninth grade students to mentor them throughout their
first year of high school. (12)
 Service Learning Council at Heritage Hall: This newly established council of seventeen
students chosen by administration focuses on further strengthening the Service
Learning Program. We hosted the first annual service fair, implemented “passion hours”
for juniors and seniors to focus their volunteer time, and we are in the process of
developing service trips for upperclassmen to take lowerclassmen to organizations to
participate together in service opportunities. (11, 12)
 Tennis Team Captain – Assist the head coach with running varsity practices and team
events. (12)
 S.W.A.G. Week (Students With A Goal) Committee- Weeklong, school wide event that
includes class competitions, a dance and an auction to raise money for Little Light
Christian School for kids with incarcerated parents. (12)
 Passion Project to Start a Senior Citizen Service Board – Coordinated an event to recruit
interested seniors in the community to learn about Special Care and begin a partnership
with the Teen Service Board. (12)
 Noah’s Ark Colorado Leadership Trip-Wilderness adventure trip to build strong

 Acolyte (Captain and Assistant Captain)- Served as an Acolyte for eleven years and held
