Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences Started at ISL last year. At P-S-T-C(Parent-Student-Teacher
Conferences ) student talks to their parents about their work while teachers is helping. Last ParentStudent-Teacher Conferences this year was on the 13th to 14th of November.
A lot of students say they like Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences, because students get involved
and dont feel left out, but some students disagree, I dont like it , I like stay at home and watch
TV Yannick from grade four says. ISLatvia Times was also happy to interview Ms. Leigh, grade
four teacher P-S-T-C helps kids to be reflective. I like that when conferences go well, kids very
proud of themselves. The hardest part for children is to be prepared, when they do so, they do a
really good job!
Next Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences will happen on the April 23rd to 24th. Be prepared!

What Would You
Like To Listen To?
By:Kamila Tasimenova
Do you know what is your
favorite song or melody? If not
let me tell you some you might
like The most popular songs
this year I know are: Shake It
Off by TAYLOR SWIFT. We
even had it on our Book
Character Dance. Happy, a
song that will of course make
you feel happy. If you dont
know, but Im pretty sure you
do, Pharrell Williams is the one
who sang it. I bet you know
Bang Bang. (warning! lyrics
meaning is not for small kids)
Energetic , brand new song and
ignites ringtone. I think you
herd Party Rockin by Red
foo, but his other songs might
be inappropriate for kids
smaller than 10! Believe me! I
also know Cool Kids by
Echosmith.(thats how the band
is called).I dont think it is
really popular. After listening
to it be sure that you are also
cool! Did I mention Frozen.
Some small kids are addicted to
it and even some older kids.
It is a good song, but Im tired of it. Okay ,we talked enough about
most popular songs. You know what is almost the biggest event in the
year that is upcoming? CHRISTMAS, of course!! I think ALL I
WANT FOR CHRISTMAS by Mariah Carey is a good and nice song
to listen to and I also know Last Christmas by a band call Wham is
a song you might want to listen if you are in higher grades and you
will be a pair with someone , you will sit and hug each other.
Now I want to tell you some of my favorites. Uncover its a sad
song but I like it, it is by Zara Larsson. Its not that popular yet, but I
think it will be!
So I hope you will check out some of my recommendations and see
if you like them!

ASSEMBLY
By: Zanete Bura
This Novembers PYP Assembly, Grade 4 shared their music videos.
They made them in music class with their groups. Grade 4 made the
videos because they are connected to their Unit on media and the
expression of different perspectives. Each music video had their own
message.
Grade 4 newspaper!
Grade 4 also tried to persuade the PYP to read this newspaper in the
assembly, because they were working on a newspaper, and they wanted to
get YOU read it. They told reasons why YOU should read their
newspaper. Say bye to November, say hi to December!
A Popular Game
I think that this game is
for 4th, 5th, and maybe
6th graders. There are
even games made after
Clash Of Clans like
Boom
Beach
and
Castle Clash. So I
think it is a good game.
