TV Yannick from grade four says. ISLatvia Times was also happy to interview Ms. Leigh, grade
four teacher P-S-T-C helps kids to be reflective. I like that when conferences go well, kids very
proud of themselves. The hardest part for children is to be prepared, when they do so, they do a
really good job!

What Would You
Like To Listen To?
By:Kamila Tasimenova
Do you know what is your
favorite song or melody? If not
let me tell you some you might
like The most popular songs
this year I know are: Shake It
Off by TAYLOR SWIFT. We
even had it on our Book
Character Dance. Happy, a
song that will of course make
you feel happy. If you dont
know, but Im pretty sure you
do, Pharrell Williams is the one
who sang it. I bet you know
Bang Bang. (warning! lyrics
meaning is not for small kids)
Energetic , brand new song and
ignites ringtone. I think you
herd Party Rockin by Red
foo, but his other songs might
be inappropriate for kids
smaller than 10! Believe me! I
also know Cool Kids by
Echosmith.(thats how the band
is called).I dont think it is
really popular. After listening
to it be sure that you are also
cool! Did I mention Frozen.
Some small kids are addicted to
it and even some older kids.

Artwork by Kamila Tasimenova

It is a good song, but Im tired of it. Okay ,we talked enough about
most popular songs. You know what is almost the biggest event in the
year that is upcoming? CHRISTMAS, of course!! I think ALL I
WANT FOR CHRISTMAS by Mariah Carey is a good and nice song
to listen to and I also know Last Christmas by a band call Wham is
a song you might want to listen if you are in higher grades and you
will be a pair with someone , you will sit and hug each other.
Now I want to tell you some of my favorites. Uncover its a sad
song but I like it, it is by Zara Larsson. Its not that popular yet, but I
think it will be!
So I hope you will check out some of my recommendations and see
if you like them!

BEST READING CHOICES

By: Alexandra
Yankovskaya
What are your favorite
books? Well here are
the most popular books
at ISL. These books
were suggested to you
by a book specialist,
ISL
librarian,
Ms.
Ligita Callaway. Diary
of a wimpy kid: Dog
days. this is about how
Greg Heffley spends his
summer
with
his
parents low on money.

Matilda
Roald Dahl is the best
author for girls. Also,
Matilda is the most
popular book from his
collection. There are
usually 0 books of
Matilda in the ISL
library.
Matilda
Wormwood is a girl
from a family where
her parents dont like
her, but like her
brother, Michael. She
is the smartest child in

her class, And later in

this book she finds out
that her dad is under
arrest for cheating and
stealing money from
his customers
My favorite part is when
Matilda goes to live with
her teacher, Ms. Honey.
So if you like diaries and
adventure books, then
these are the right books
for you.

ASSEMBLY
By: Zanete Bura
This Novembers PYP Assembly, Grade 4 shared their music videos.
They made them in music class with their groups. Grade 4 made the
videos because they are connected to their Unit on media and the
expression of different perspectives. Each music video had their own
message.
Grade 4 newspaper!
Grade 4 also tried to persuade the PYP to read this newspaper in the
assembly, because they were working on a newspaper, and they wanted to
get YOU read it. They told reasons why YOU should read their
newspaper. Say bye to November, say hi to December!

Crafty Clash of Clans

By: Paulis Davidsons
Clash Of Clans
Like strategic games?
Then plan your battles
in Clash Of Clans.
Upgrade your town
hall to unlock new
defences. Team up
with your friends to
make a clan. Train
troops
with
extraordinary powers
to catch your enemies

off guard to ruin their

whole village. In the
game you can buy
more gems for real
money. You can also
unlock achievements
to earn free gems.
Upgrade your traps to
get more effective
techniques to destroy
the enemies troops and
last of all you have
some prizes waiting
for you: A hungry

Barbarian King who

can not die in any
battles,and a never
dying, the Archer
Queen. In the game
you are in a fantasy
land and you are a
leader of a kingdom
and you attack other
kingdoms to gain loot.
I think it is an
awesome game. (One
of the best games I
have played)

A Popular Game
I think that this game is
for 4th, 5th, and maybe
6th graders. There are
even games made after
Clash Of Clans like
Boom
Beach
and
Castle Clash. So I
think it is a good game.
