Unit Plan Overview

Patterns: Kindergarten
Patterns exist everywhere and are identifiable to anyone who is looking. Students are able
to recognize patterns in their lives both at school and at home. Our daily classroom routine is a
pattern that is familiar to all students. This unit will focus on patterns in literature and in the
students environment. Students will choose subjects and collect data while using descriptive
adjectives to support their findings. The lessons in this unit can be modified to address the needs
of all students.
