Lesson Title: High Five Turkey

Standard: CCSS.Marh.Ccntent.K.CC.B.4a-When counting objects, say the number names in the standard

order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each nurnber name with one and
only one object,
Student Material: Scissors, glue and

crayons

Teachqr Materials: Hand out, Already colored


and cut feathers, and a complete product of the

lntroduction
Objective::By the end of this lesson the students will have practiced the numbers 1-5. This will be done
through counting the number of dots on each of the five fingers and then matching the amount of dots

to the corresponding number.


Set: Since we have been using our hands to practice the numbers L-5, today we will do an activity that
involves turning a hand print into a turkey.

and numbers it can"

"Our turkey will need feathers and this is where our numbers come in because each feather has

them the numbers on each of the feathers.
