Football

th

ince the start of 7 grade Ive always

been part of the Traverse City West
football. Football has always been party
of my life and when I joined the team I was
super hyped. Ever since middle school my life
was taken over by the two and a half hour
practices after school every day.
Most people who also play football would agree
with me that practices are terrible and cant last
forever, but its totally worth it on Friday nights
when you play in front of hundreds of fans and
with your friends. Before football I had not too
many friends because I came to west at the end
of 6th grade so I didnt
have much time to form
friendship, but because
of football I formed so
many friendships with
people I am now best
friends with in high
school and I think its because of football I went
through high school with good grades and also
didnt get in trouble.

Track and Field Personal record times

100 meter dash -11.74s

200 meter dash- 24.14s
400 meter dash-54.53s
4x200 Relay-1:34.68s
4x100 Relay-44.88s
4x400 Relay-3:37.79s

ust like football I started track in 7th grade

and ever since than Ive ran track to get
faster for football but also competed in
tons of meets and Ive also received a ton of
medals and ribbons. I
started running track only
because my mom and
uncle both ran it when
they were in high school
and they both kind of
pushed me to try it and
when I first started I liked it only because I was
super-fast and I liked being faster than
everyone else and I just wanted to be the best
sprinter on the team.

Life after high school

After I graduate from West Senior High I plan to
attend college at either Grand Valley State
University or Central Michigan University where
I will most likely study in law enforcement with
my friend Jeff Turnquist and me and him will
become state police officers and partners. I also
plan on maybe trying to become a walk on for
either of the teams just because I love playing
football and Ill probably miss it dearly after
high school.
