Nutrition Cadre
Funded by the Healthy Schools Success Students grant, the Nutrition Cadre and trainings are
currently in development. Following the structure of the existing Cadres, the Nutrition Cadre will
develop nutrition-specific trainings to be conducted within the school setting.
With feedback from stakeholders, identification of resources, opportunities and gaps in the area
of non-food service school nutrition education, programs and policies are being identified and a
plan to identify cadre members and the training content and materials are being developed. It is
anticipated that trainings will be ready for schools in the 2014-15 school year.
