Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Law (CARL)

-was signed by President Corazon C. Aquino on June 10, 1988


-was institutionalized to promote social justice in the agricultural sector of the Philippines
-the primary goal was to secure agricultural workers in the Philippines by allocating agricultural
land to them

Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP)


-established by the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Law (CARL) of 1992 also called RA 6657
under Section 2: Declaration of Principles & Policies
-it is a Philippine state policy that ensures and promotes welfare of landless farmers, as well as
elevation of social justice & equity among rural areas
-it is founded on the right of farmers who are landless to own directly the lands they till

Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR)


-was formed on September 1, 1971
-is the authority of enforcing land reform programs in the Philippines
-the prime target for forming DAR is to promote technology advancement in agriculture and
provide social justice to the agricultural workers in the Philippines
