With more than (insert turn ups) turn ups this year, having a significant leap comparing to when it
started out in 2008 where there were only 3,500 turn ups back then.
Well-liked by Singaporeans, IGNITE! music festival showcase a diverse of music genres with
live-wire energy performances by a variety of local artistes. Nevertheless, it is also a great
platform for new sprouting bands to gain exposure to the music goers in the Lion City.
IGNITE! music festival turned seven this year and it only gets better.
Organizers took the event up another level, giving the music goers a better experience by
partnering up with regional street food to worldwide merchandise such as Ramly Burgers and
Macbeth. Participants also got to win home a special goodie from Lush 99.5fm, with it being the
official radio sponsor for this years event.
I actually had 2 burgers before heading home. Since there wasnt much finger food store last
year, it was good that they could bring in Ramly Burger this year as I went home with an empty
stomach the other time, commented Godwin Sie, 19, a spectacular for Gentle Bones.
Other than the appealing booths, the two days had an exciting lineup with (insert no.) bands on
the first day including Shigga Shay, The Sam Willows and (insert no.) bands on the second day,
including bands such as Stopgap and Knightingale.
It was an eye opener for me as I got to know more about the local artists like Charlie Lim and I
am definitely coming back again next year, said Teo Weiling,19, who came to IGNITE! for the
first time.
The bands put up nothing less than electrifying and exciting performances and the crowd was
definitely pumped up for more.

Till then, we can surely anticipate a greater line-up of adrenaline pumping performances and
promising artistes on stage next year, and for many years to come!
