Annual Music Festival To Celebrate 15 Years

CHILLICOTHE, Ill., Feb. 03, 2015- Annual Summer Camp Music Festival to celebrate
15 years this Memorial Day weekend. The music festival has taken place at Three Sisters
Park in Chillicothe, Illinois since 2001.
This annual event is put on by Peoria production company, Jay Golberg Events and
Entertainment. JG Events also owns multiple music venues in the Illinois area, such as
the Canopy Club in Urbana.
We are so excited to be celebrating our 15th year. We have come so far from just 1,500
attendees our first year, says Goldberg. Our goal is to keep the small family festival
feel in a large festival setting.
The 3-day camping festival now hosts nearly 25,000 people at the site, with over 70
bands on 7 different stages. There is also a pre-party the day before that requires an extra
ticket.
Chicago band Umphreys McGee headlines the festival with five sets every year as well
as the New York jam band Moe. Some larger acts that have played Summer Camp in the
past include Widespread Panic, Trey Anastasio Band, Primus, Bassnectar, and more.
