Significance of the Study

Through this study, the researchers aim. The researchersalso intend to see if the
respondents, the residents of Sitio Baluarte, Lumbia, are aware of the said government programs
and that if the respondents are following the preventive methods that were relayed to them through
those programs.
The researchers believe that the results of this research study will provide importance to
several agencies namely:
Sitio Baluarte, Lumbia residents. This research study aims to evaluate the efficacy of the
dengue prevention and reduction programs that were implemented by the Department of Health.
Furthermore, the researchers intend to see if the respondents are aware of the said government
programs and that if the respondents are following the preventive methods that were relayed to
them through various programs involving dengue prevention and reduction.
Government officials. Through the results of this research study, the government officials
may be able to have a new idea on ways on improving strategies and programs with regards to
relaying them to the residents. In addition, the barangay officials may also be updated on the ways
of controlling or preventing dengue in the said area.
Clinical Instructors. With the results of this research study, the clinical instructors may be
able to help and guide the students in formulating the community diagnoses and nursing related
interventions to improve the health status of the residents in the said area. Furthermore, the Clinical
Instructors may be able to use this research study as a medium to help the nursing students in
improving their skills in developing advancements that could benefit the nursing profession.
Student Nurses. This study may help the student nurses for further studies and for reference
when they go to their Community Health Nursing exposure and for them to facilitate in formulating
nursing interventions for the betterment of the community health status.
