RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
This section discusses and expresses the processes used in the study.
Categorically, it expounds the very idea of the research methods use, research flow,
research environment, sources of data and data gathering methods.
Research Methods Used
As an appropriate method, the study follows a descriptive quantitative method.
The goal of quantitative descriptive studies is a comprehensive summarization in
everyday terms of specific events experienced by individuals or groups of individuals.
For quantitative, the researchers made use of the respondent’s views through
discourse analysis and content analysis of their responses. Data will be gathered
through conducting survey using questionnaires of which will be
answered by the respondents and thoroughly analyzed by the researchers.
Research Flow
The research flow of the study is on the succeeding page that is Fig. 2
demonstrated like that of a flow chart that illustrates the input, process and output. First,
a short briefing is held to help the respondents understand and comprehend the
purpose and point of the study.
Next, the researchers initiate the part which is of key importance to this research paper.
The researches distributes survey interview to selected Senior High School students to
answer. Here, the selected Senior High School students answer the questionnaire using
their own preferences and perception. The questions laid out in the survey
questionnaire are prepared beforehand for the intention of determining the common
factors influencing career choice of the respondents .
The answers are then presented, analyzed and interpreted. Finally, a reinforcement of
career guidance will be conducted as the output of the study.
Research Environment
This research is conducted in the Pajo Campus of Asian Learning Center
(ALC). The school was founded on 1991 and compromises kindergarten, elementary,
junior high school and the new senior high school which has

recently opened during the school year, S.Y. 2016-2017, with 120 students per strand
from various public and private schools all around Lapu-Lapu City
The School has three campuses: Main, Pajac and Pajo Branches. The Main
Branch is located at Lopez Jaena St., Corner dela Serna St., Poblacion, Lapu-Lapu
City, the Pajac Branch is at Fuentes Road, Pajac, Lapu-Lapu City while the Pajo
Branch, where the study is focused, is at Sangi Road, Pajo, Lapu-Lapu City. Among the
three branches, only the Pajo Branch is ESC-FAPE accredited.

Sources of Data
For the study purpose both primary and secondary data are used. The primary data
collected from Selected Senior High School students is extracted using survey
questionnaires.
The secondary data are collected from related studies from former researchers as
well as research papers and thesis. The primary and secondary data have been
collected to cover every aspect of the study.
The primary data are related to behavior, personal opinion and response of the
respondents. The secondary data allowed the researchers to delve deeper into the
study by collecting data from former studies.

These data used in combination as per need of the study. These data have
different merits and demerits and have served our purpose of the research study.
Data-Gathering Procedures
The processes enumerated here in after are undertaken for the entire research.
First, the problem was defended by the researchers in front of research advisers and
panelists for the commencement of the study. Thereafter, survey interview are handed
to the respondents in which the results will be used as the main reference of
information.
