Students will write a letter to a pen
pal from another nation, telling them
about what is happening in the area
around them and asking about
whats happening in and around
their lives.

Students will make a video with their


Ipads as news anchors reporting on
a current event.

Students will write a two-paragraph


piece on each news article they find,
summarizing it with key ideas from
the news article that directly
correlate to the main idea.
Students will map out the parts of
the world where they identify their
happenings.
While students research on their
Ipads, ask them questions to gauge
their understanding.
