a glorious, dangerous agenda

Sundays in Advent
Worship Series: Advent: Waiting for Justice
This month, we will together explore the
themes of justice that our Advent scriptures, both New and Old Testament,
highlight. In a world and season of commercialism and flashing lights, we together pause to seek Gods justice.

CHILDRENS MINISTRY UPDATE

In November, the Spiritual Formation Committee hosted
a parents and teachers luncheon, where we discussed and
outlined Childrens Ministry strengths and weaknesses.
Based on parent/teacher input, the Committee has identified three areas of immediate focus for maintaining and
improving the Childrens Ministry at FBC:
1. Sunday School Liason to coordinate security and
safety, attendance, student records, etc.
2. Enhanced Fellowship Opportunities for play dates,
missions and other child interaction.
3. Media and Technology Practices that enhance communication and planning.
Moving into 2015, The Spiritual Formation Committee
will support the work of Childrens Intern Amelia Lawson, Youth Intern Cody Knapik, the FBC Pastorate and
our Sunday School teachers to update our direction in
these areas by this spring/summer.
Thank you for your participation and for your concern
and love for the kids in our church family.
~Pastor Joe

Thank you
I want to thank the carolers who sang for my husband Dan.
(My son had taken me to K-State to hear my granddaughter
sing in a Christmas programand I got to have lunch with
my grandson Brett, who is also a student at K State!). When
we returned, Dan told us how wonderful the songs were and
that a handsome young man came to the door, and that it was
a large group. Thank you so much! Your visit seemed very
special to Dan. ~Annie Merriam
