The LAMP Framework what would

you add to it ?
HR measurement can move beyond
the wall using what call the LAMP
model.
The letters in LAMP stand for logic,
analytics, measures, and process,
four critical components of a
measurement system that drives
strategic change and organizational
effectiveness.
Effective HR measurement systems
must integrate and balance all the
elements of the LAMP framework.
Every element plays its part, but is
best when used in performance with
the other elements.
Over-emphasizing Logic can create
frameworks that are too abstract for
action, or impossible to measure and
analyze. Overemphasizing Analytics
can lead to wasted time and energy
on analyses that are technically
2

rigorous but have little connection to

real issues and little effect on decisions.
Overemphasizing measurement can
lead to information overload, with ever
more elegant measurements achieving
little
additional
relevance.
Overemphasizing
the
change
Processes can lead to misguided
energy and enthusiasm directed
toward objectives that cannot be
measures and may not be relevant.
I would add to LAMP model planning
phase, which emphasize using time
framework and the result from the
previous step. Planning is an important
step to maintain the effectiveness of
the LAMP framework. Before we start
the Logic step, we will set a time frame
work and predicted results from the
next step, which is analysis.
