Improved productivity of Axels through reduction of defects/defectives at axel pins manufacturing.
Business Case:
High loss of production of axels assembilies due to short supply of axel pins
Axel pin is aimportant component.Our line got down due to short supply of pins.
Due to this we are losing business and our competitors are getting benefit of this.
Hence management initiated a six sigma project at axle pin manufacturing.
Problem/Opportunity:
The rejection rate is near about 50%.
customer wants to transfer business to other supplier
Goal:
It was decided to achieve reduce the rejection rate upto 3 sigma level
