PR# 10074876 CLEANING & PAINTING OF FUEL GAS SKID PIPING AND

EQUIPMENT
SCOPE OF WORKS FOR PAINTING

Cleaning - Clean down and remove oil, grease and loose foreign matter,
including, mold mildew, dirt and corrosion products, in a manner which causes
neither undue damage to the substrate nor damage to, or contamination of, the
surroundings or the paint system to be applied;
Semi-gloss Surfaces - Adequately scuff and/or solvent or chemically etch as
appropriate to provide satisfactory adhesion for subsequent paint coats;
Filling - Fill cracks and holes with fillers, sealers or grouting cements as
appropriate for the finishing system and substrate, and sand smooth, to ensure
all coats finish smooth;
Drying - Unless otherwise specified, ensure that surfaces are cured and dry
before applying additional coats of paint;
Generally - Remove weld spatter, slag, burrs, or any other objectionable surface
irregularities. Remove any rust and apply rust primer;
Apply an oil-based primer to any bare timber surfaces;
Contract to provide manlift or scaffolding if required.
Contractor to provide all material and consumable required
Contractor ensure all personnel Working at Height Trained
Contractor to provide one Supervisor always available on site to supervise and
make sure the safety of personnel.
Contractor to provide all necessary tools required for the job.
Contractor Supervisor In-charge to renew the work permit for day to day activity.
3-Coatings of Paint is required to have a satisfactory layer with primer counted as
the 1st layer.
Contractor shall follow the Qatalum color piping coding Qatalum (were based
from Qatalum Piping Specifications TG-ENG-6-SP-2006062/Chapter 6.12)

SAFETY
Contractor will supply its Personal Protective Equipment, consisting of, but not limited to the
following:

Safety shoes / boots / coveralls


Safety helmet
Safety glasses
Hearing protectors
High visibility vest

Contractors will undergo site safety induction to be familiar with the site safety regulations. This
does not release contractor from being responsible to ensure that the manpower work safely.
Any non-compliance with these regulations will result in disciplinary action or termination of that
violator from site and the responsible leader if proven guilty.
Contractor will be responsible for the safely of any work done in carrying out the scope of this
work.
