Background
The O2 Arenais a multipurpose indoorarenalocated in the centre ofThe O2, a large
entertainmentcomplexontheGreenwichpeninsulainLondon,UnitedKingdom.
From its opening, it has been hosted musical events, sports events including tennis, ice hockey,
basketball,gymnastic,mixmartialarts,boxingandmanymore.With23,000capacityvenue,TheO2
Arenabecametheworldsbusiestvenuesince2008.
It has been awarded the Royal Academy of Engineering Mac Robert Award for its innovative
structure.

Scope
The world famous Dome project was
conceived by the UK government as
Festival of Britain style showcase to
celebrate the third millennium.In June
2007 the dome was rebranded as the O2
Arena with a highly publicized transition
intoanentertainmentcentreincludingan
indoor arena, a music club, a cinema, an
exhibitionspaceandbarsandrestaurants.
RAK Ceramics manufactured and supplied
Lounge beige unpolished porcelain tiles for the
floorsandspeciallyfabricatedLoungebeigeslab
porcelain for all the staircases including to the
Royal box. London's O2 was the most visited
arenaintheworldlastyearwithover2.3million
attending events. In the five years since
installation the tiles and slabs have endured
almost14millionfootstepsandstilllookgood.
Results
Slip resistant Lounge Series left a lasting impact to interiors of arena. This is a testament to the
strength and durability of RAK products guaranteeing high performance in a commercial
environment.
