Character profiles
Dave
Gender: male
Age: 16
Dave is a 16 year-old boy, he likes heavy metal and a drug addict. He lives
in a small house with his mum who is an alcoholic and his father Recently
abandoned him when he found out he was an addict. He likes watching movies
and going to gigs. He likes to do drugs with his girlfriend Cloe; He lives
in Reading and has a south eastern accent.
Cloe
Age: 16
Gender: female
Cloe is a 16 year old girl she is new to the metal and drug scene and is
exited to try new substances. She is a middle class Girl from a normal
neighbourhood and she lives in a fairly large house with both her parents,
her dad is a banker and her mum is an accountant but the always felt lonely
as a child as her parents had little time for her. She dislikes her parents
and rebels against them as she dyes her hair and wears piercings.
Plot
When Dave and Cloe decide to try a new drug in the forest they find they
cant handle it. when Cloe runs off it sends Dave into a state of panic he
gets and starts to walk around and starts to hallucinate. He sees a version
of himself acting like his father who disapproves of him; he staggers
around and sees another hallucination like the last in appearance but this
one is his paranoia who tells him that people are coming for him. He walks
deep into the woods and sees a version of himself that has gone completely
mental. Disturbed by this he runs off and comes to a clearing and sees yet
another version of himself who tells him that he will never get out of the
woods alive. Absolutely terrified he runs of and in his drugged up state he
runs into a tree and knocks himself out.
Statement of intent
I think that I am the best person to make this film because it has a main
focus on insanity and will be able to use my composition abilitys to
compose the piece using strange and unusual shot types and angle to portray
the drugged up and insane atmosphere of the piece. Also I think that as the
piece is about the danger of drugs another producer or director might not
see this and try to make it comical or silly.
Narrative Structures
What is narrative?
Narrative is the way a story is told based on the order that events in the plot unfold.
EXT.FOREST.AFTERNOON.
Small clearing with and old pond DAVE and CLOE are
standing by the pond talking to each other.
DAVE:
(handing Cloe an unlabelled pill)
You wanna try this stuff then.
Cloe:
Yeah shure
Cloe takes the pill and shortly after so does Dave.
Dave:
You got to wait for it to kick in.
EXTERNAL.FOREST.LATER.
Cloe and Dave are sitting on the edge of the old pond.
Cloe:
(puts her head in her hands)
Whats it supposed to do anyway?
Dave:
(rubbing his face)
Cant you feel that?
Cloe runs off.
Dave:
No! Dont leave!
Dave gets up and stumbles around, stepping under the shadow of
a large tree he sees a version of himself with a hood up
sitting under the tree smoking a pipe.
