The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) will shut-down the operations of its offices in Metro
Manila this week to give way for the five-day visit of Pope Francis.
In a statement, POEA administrator Hans Cacdac said their offices will be closed on Jan. 15, 16 and 19, 2015 which
have been declared as special non-working holidays by President Benigno Aquino III.
He advised overseas Filipino workers, who would process their overseas employment certificate in person at the
POEA Main offices in Mandaluyong City or other branches in the National Capital Region to complete their
transactions before the specified dates.
We urge them to claim their exit clearance or OEC on an earlier date of after the special holidays, Cacdac said.
