MANILA (2ND UPDATE) - Six areas have been placed under storm warning signal number 2 as tropical storm "Egay"
continued to move closer to northern Luzon Saturday afternoon.
State weather bureau PAGASA, in its 5 p.m. advisory, placed Kalinga, Apayao, Isabela, Quirino, Northern Aurora, and
Cagayan including Babuyan and Calayan Group of Islands under public storm warning signal number 2.
The storm warning signal means the areas are expected to experience winds of 61 to 120 kilometers per hour (kph)
in 24 hours.
PAGASA warned about possible storm surge in coastal areas. The strong winds may cause light to moderate
damages to high-risk structures.
