MANILA - Where did Vice-President Jejomar Binay get his figures? This is Budget Secretary Butch Abad's challenge
to the vice-president after an examination of the budgets of state universities and colleges showed increases from
2011 to 2015, contrary to Binay's claim that the budgets were cut.
In an interview on ANC's Headstart, Abad said the total budget for SUCs has actually increased since Aquino took
office.
He added that if ever a particular school's budget decreased, it was because some projects have already been
completed.
