We found that the older people we interviewed answered no more than the younger
people interviewed. The younger peoples answers were more often yes. The
greatest number of nos we received came from the oldest age group interviewed
56-71 years old. The greatest number of yess came from the youngest age group
18-31 years old.

Although less females were questioned, the percentages of yess and nos were the
same for both gender groups. Of the total people we interviewed, 146, 82 of them
were male with 39 yess and 43 nos. 64 were female with 31 yess and 33 nos.

For our random sample phone poll 33 people were called. Of these calls 19
responded yes and 14 responded no. Therefore 42% of answers were no while 58%
were yes.

Total, we interviewed 57 people for our social poll. Of these 57 people 26 said yes
and 31 said no. Therefore, 54% said no while 46% said yes.
Confidence interval:
We are 95% confident that the number of people that do not think that
undocumented immigrants currently living in the United States should be able to
work is between 45% and 62% of people.
Conclusion:
We came to the conclusion that most people do have an opinion on whether
or not immigrants should be able to work in the United States. Based on the data
collected, we found that younger aged people thought that they should be able to,
while older aged people didnt think they should be able to. Some flaws that our
project may have are that we did not interview the same amount of people for each
age group so the data may be skewed. Also, four our gender separation graph we
questioned less females than we did males but out of the people asked for both
genders, the same percentage said yes and no. Had we interviewed the same
amount of females, the data might have been different. We also believe that one or
both of our confidence intervals may be off, and we didnt know what unit would be
proper to use so we chose percentage of people. Overall the data that we collected
showed that the number of people that do not think immigrants should be able to
work and the amount of people that do, were relatively close.
