Chemistry Elevator Pitch

Hello my name is Calvin Mulcahy and i was wondering, do you belive in magic? I
am guessing not, but what if i told that we can make magic. Scientists have been
working on new materials that we are calling metamaterials. One of the main uses in
research is to study the ability to bend light which these materials have the capability to
do. The way these materials work is the atoms are structured to form a fishnet pattern.
The reason that you should invest in this product is to help us further it to get past our
current obstacle. This obstacle is the spacing between the atoms in the structure, In
Order to bend light the spacing in the structure has to be smaller than the wavelength
that you are trying to bend. In my demonstration i have the two balls representing light
wavelength and a structure similar to metamaterials the smaller ball represents the light
waves that the human eye can perceive and the larger ones represent waves we are
currently able to bend. Our problem is that we are not able to build a structure smaller
than the waves that the human eye can perceive. So i am asking that you invest five
hundred dollars to our research.
