A new residential development is to be built. The development will


consists of a mix of low rise dwellings built around landscaped open spaces
and communal parking at ground level. Explain the measures you would
specify in order render such a development as water efficient as possible
(internally and externally).

Maltas groundwaters qualitative and quantitative status is very much at


risk. What solutions does Malta, in your opinion, require to start redressing
this imbalance?

a. the magnitude of the peak flow and the time to peak;
b. the volume of water resulting from this rainfall event;

is able to discharge the peak flow determined in (a) above, if the pipe is
laid at a gradient of 1/100 and has a manning coefficient of 0.012.
