Combination Rules: UCI Rule 6.1.007


If classes are undersubscribed both Championships and challenge can be combined
during UCI registered races on the following basis:
The organiser announces in the technical guide and in their communication towards
National Federations and riders the combination of classes.
The results are split in two separate classes based on the results summary.
Riders get the ranking points that correspond with the place in the separate results.
The riders are awarded the prize money that correspond with the place in the
separate results
For Probikx, Champbikx and Challenge in the case of a tie at the end of the series, the tie
will be resolved as follows:
A. First in favour of the rider who earned the most first place finishes in the series
B. Then, if a tie still remains, in favour of the rider who earned the most second place
finishes in the series and so on.

CHALLENGE SERIES
NATIONAL CHALLENGE SERIES PARAMETERS

The 2015 BMXA National Challenge Series is for 20 Classes for 17-29 Men, 17+
Women and Masters (30 & over Men) with age determination being 2015 (year of
competition rule) minus Year of Birth.
The National Challenge Series is being run with two key objectives:
1. To provide high level, exciting competition under quality conditions.
2. To give amateur riders the opportunity to compete in a National Series.
The 2015 BMXA National Challenge Series will be run in conjunction with the
Australian rounds of the Champbikx / Probikx and UCI BMX Continental Ranking Series
(for Junior and Elite Men and Women) and Australian National Championships.
Each National Challenge Series round will be run as a block in conjunction with the
Champbikx and Probikx classes within the various events.
A condition of entry is that riders use the Official Series number plate. This plate will
be issued free to all riders at the first round of the series that they enter and must be
used for all subsequent rounds.
Replacement of a lost or left at home plate will be at a cost of $20 to the rider.
Moto transfer per UCI BMX rules Annex 1.
Rider seeding to the motos for Rnd 1 (Nerang) will be a random seeding process.
All other rounds (Rnd 2- 9) riders will be seeded based on overall series points. If a
rider only enters from round 2 or beyond they will be randomly seeded.
Transponder based electronic lap timing is used for all rounds of the series.
Where the race organiser provides/hires transponders for electronic lap timing, it is
the riders responsibility to ensure that the transponder is correctly fitted to their bike
per UCI BMX Rule 6.1.019.2
Transponders must be returned to the race organiser at the conclusion of the event
and failure to do so will incur a cost to the rider of $150 plus costs.
Rider choice of starting lane will be in accordance with the principals in UCI Rule
6.1.021, I.e. The gate starting positions for motos shall be determined according to
UCI BMX Rules annex 2. The gate starting positions during the qualifiers (1/32, 1/16,
1/8, 1/4 and 1/2 finals depending on the number of participants) and the final shall be
determined by:
A. By seeding determined by lap time from the previous round (fastest rider has
the first choice on the gate)
B. By the finish placing from the previous round (first placed rider has first choice
on gate).
A minimum of 5 riders per class is required. Where classes are combined to make
minimum numbers, series points and prize money will be awarded per UCI Rule 6.1.007.
For a class with 8 or less riders, except for the last placed rider as determined by
accumulated points following the motos, the rest transfer to a dead man final.

Prize Pool for each round is $200 for 17-29 Men and 17+ Women Classes and $300
for Masters 30+ Class, paid for podium finishes only with the breakdown per BMXA
rules.
1st - 50%, 2nd -30%, 3rd - 20%.
Series points will be allocated for each event per the schedule attached.
A riders overall series placing is determined by the riders best seven (7) results
from the series. Riders must compete in at least seven (7) rounds of the overall series
(including round 9) to be eligible for the end of series awards.
Overall prizes to be awarded for 1st to 3rd in each Class and are for Australian riders
only.
17-29 Men

1st $800, 2nd $600, 3rd $400

17+ Women

1st $800, 2nd $600, 3rd $400

Masters

1st $900, 2nd $700, 3rd $500

For all rounds of the 2015 National Series and overall series prize money will be paid to all
domestic Australian winners via EFT. It is a riders responsibility to download the payment form
available on the BMXA website and to complete and return to BMXA. If no form is returned,
payment of prize money will be delayed.

CHAMPBIKX SERIES
NATIONAL CHAMPBIKX SERIES PARAMETERS

The 2015 National BMXA Champbikx Series is for 20 Classes for 14, 15 and 16 Girls
and Boys, with age determination being 2015 (year of competition rule) minus Year of
Birth.
The National Champbikx Series is being run with three key objectives:
1. To provide high level, exciting competition under quality conditions.
2. To showcase riders for potential BMX Australia Development Academy selection.
3. To select riders for the Australian 14 & 15 year old test team.
The 2015 BMXA National Champbikx Series will be run in conjunction with the
Australian rounds of the Probikx, Challenge and UCI BMX Continental Ranking Series
(for Junior and Elite Men and Women) and Australian National Championships.
Each National Champbikx Series round will be run as a block in conjunction with the
Junior and Elite Classes within the various events.
A condition of entry is that riders use the Official Series number plate. This plate will
be issued free to all riders at the first round of the series that they enter and must be
used for all subsequent rounds.

PROBIKX SERIES

NATIONAL PROBIKX SERIES PARAMETERS INC CONTINENTAL SERIES PARAMETERS

The 2015 BMXA Probikx Tour is for Junior Women, Junior Men, Elite Women and Elite
Men, 20 Classes with age determination being 2015 (year of competition rule) minus
Year of Birth.
Where the one event doubles as an UCI Continental Ranking and Probikx Tour round,
UCI Continental Ranking rules will apply to the event.
Each Probikx Tour round will be run as a block in conjunction with the Champbikx
Series classes within the various events.
A condition of entry is that riders use the Official Series number plate. This plate will
be issued free to all riders at the first round of the series that they enter and must be
used for all subsequent rounds. Replacement of a lost or left at home plate will be at
a cost of $20 to the rider.
Allocation of race numbers will respect the assigned UCI BMX Permanent Career
Numbers.
Moto transfer per UCI BMX rules Annex 1.
For Rnd 1 (Nerang) ONLY rider seeding for motos will be based on results from a
single run time trial per UCI BMX Rule 6.1.079 according to the principle displayed in UCI
BMX Rule 6.1.077
- The Time Trial will comprise a single timed lap for each rider.
- A rider not starting in the time trial will be given a default lap time of 999 seconds.
All other rounds (Rnd 2- 9) riders will be seeded based on overall UCI ranking/series
points.
Transponder based electronic lap timing is used for all rounds of the series.
Where the race organiser provides/hires transponders for electronic lap timing, it is
the riders responsibility to ensure that the transponder is correctly fitted to their bike
per UCI BMX Rule 6.1.019.2

aggregate score at the end of the three motos defines the final result as per UCI BMX
Rule 6.1.014.
