ASSOCHAM, Indias leading Apex Chamber for Industry & Commerce has been very actively
mobilizing the support of the Industry for making the Indian Defence Sector more robust and
has been organising meaningful Conferences in the past with the Official Support of Ministry
of Defence, Government of India. We were privileged to have the Honourable Ministers
delivering the Chief Guest address on the occasions in the past.
ASSOCHAM has been organising parallel Conference on the Defence Sector during the
Defexpo in the past. As we understand that the Defexpo 2012 is being organised from 29th
March to 1st April, 2012 ASSOCHAM proposes to organise a one day, 5th International
Conference on Aerospace & Defence Sector on Friday, 30th March, 2012 at Hotel Shangri
La, New Delhi from 9:30 am.
Some of the Sessions for the Conference are on the Private Industry Participation: Progress
since the Defence Production Policy 2011, on the Offset Policy and Framework, Review of
the FDI in Defence Sector and Impact of Tax Regime on Production. These Sessions were
finalized during the ASSOCHAM National Council on Defence Members Meeting held on 12 th
January, 2012 in New Delhi.
On behalf of ASSOCHAM, we cordially invite you to be the Key Note Speaker in the
Inaugural Session and to share the dias with the Honble Minister at this Conference. May
