From January 21 through February 13, Seven Oaks Elementary School MEDIA Magnet
will be celebrating the Random Acts of Kindness Project. In doing so, we will be joining with
hundreds of other schools and communities around the world.
In order to become involved all that is needed is a greater awareness of the importance of
kindness and a willingness to translate these good intentions into action. Whether it's kindness to
oneself, kindness to the Earth, or kindness to others, know that each act, no matter how small,
makes a difference and contributes to making our world a better place.
This is the message we will be sharing with our students and we ask for your help at
home. Please take some time to talk to your child about kindness. Celebrate and focus on their
acts of kindness, share your stories of kindness you have given and received. Perhaps you'll
come up with your own unique family project. We'd love to hear about it and invite our students
to share these good stories at school.
We certainly welcome this project as an opportunity to emphasize the importance of
kindness and hope that this awareness will spill over into the whole year. Children believe they
can change the world. Let's help to show them that they are absolutely right!

Newspapers are needed to wrap up clay projects to send home and for paper mch
projects. Please send in extra newspapers with your child or drop them off in the
front office.
