Handle, knife, knife guard, stand & roller
wheel.
Handle for the cutter to direct the blade.
Lubricating unit used to supply oil to run
machine smoothly.
Knife guard used to guard the knife.

Advantages:
High production & high speed.
Possible to cut fabric directly.
Possible to cut larger depth / height of
fabric.
Sharp corner can be cut.
Most commonly used in RMG sector.
Comparatively cheap.

Disadvantages:
Blade deflection occurs in same cases.
Intensity if accident is high

Blade is octagonal in shape.

Blade dia 6 cm- 20 cm.

Thickness 1-2mm

Blades have very sharp edge.

Blade is driven by electric power.

A handle for the cutter to direct the blade.

Blade could be lubricated by attached oil

lubricating unit.

Before cutting, fabric should be clamped

with table.

Grinding wheel is attached as sharpening

device.

Advantages:

Easy to operate.

Suitable for relatively small cutting.

Suitable for gentle curve cutting.

Disadvantages:

blade does not contact with all the plies
simultaneously.

Not suitable for large scale production.

Difficult to cut very small patterns.

4. Possibility of accident is high.

Fabric wastage is high if possible to cut sharp

corner.

Not used in our country.

Features:
This is like saw mill cutter.

Advantages:

Very suitable to cut sharp corners.

Extensively used for accurate cutting if very

small parts such as collar, cuffs and pockets.

Intensity of accident is low.

Used more in mens wear than woman wear.

Disadvantages:

Not suitable for large production.

Not possible to cut directly from the spread.

Block pieces if fabric required so fabric wastages

is high.

Very rare used to garments industry.

More space required.

Very expensive, work lead high, electric power

less is high.
