In this article, they study about the treatment of fluorosis. They know that
fluorosis is a tiny white steaks or specks in the enamel of the teeth. The appearance
of the teeth are marred by discoloration or brownish in color. This occurs when an
excessive fluoride supplement that are founded from the toothpaste we used and
mostly in drinking water fluoridation. They used 35 percent of hydrogen peroxide as
in-office dental bleaching. They also use silicon carbide and 12 percent of
hydrochloric acid for enamel microabrasion to remove and to eliminate fluorosis
stains. They found out that this technique is much better, more efficient and good
conservative alternative for treatment of fluorosis rather than the recent several
methods that they knew since 1916.
I do understand now what is this fluorosis and how this fluorosis formed. And
toothpaste somehow may be the cause of discoloration due to excessive
supplement of fluoride. And also we learned that standard procedure is always on
its way of changes for better results. We, as a medical practitioners, discovering of
more and better way endlessly. We must always be aware of every innovations for
living. For now, as a student in Dentistry, gathering more knowledge is important.
We study a lot of theories for somehow we know every methods and procedures of
standardization. But progress is always come so we must be aware on it for better
and efficient result in our fields.
