Dear Parent/ Guardian,

Here at St. Augustines, we are always looking at ways that we can engage our pupils and teach them skills
that they will need throughout their lives. We are passionate about all children becoming independent and
confident learners who have a love of reading.
As part of developing these lifelong skills we are taking all classes in school to Worksop library. Year 6
Sycamore Class will be visiting on Friday 27th February 2015 at 9.00am. They will be travelling on foot,
so please ensure that your child has a warm coat and suitable footwear.
During their visit they will be given a tour of the library by a librarian, listen to stories and will have the
opportunity to choose books to bring home.
If you wish your child to have the opportunity to bring a book home they will need to be a member of the
library. If they are already a member they can bring their library card into school on the day and give it to
the class teacher for safe- keeping. If you would like to enroll your child in the library please see the
teacher for an application form (if you have not already done so).
