Read the article about Super Bowl Geography and answer the following:
a. Suggest ways Super Bowl 52 in Minneapolis can be a net benefit to the
state of Minnesota and/or the US in the following areas:
i. Economics: Estimated $600 million in benefits.
ii. Culture: Football in the US is a huge part of the lives of
everyone; 111.5 million people watch the Super Bowl; the
commercials and halftime show are a huge thing for everyone,
even those who dont watch football.
iii. Energy: This years Salt River Project used high power wind
energy to light up the stadium; the Super Bowl is another way to
show off environmentally friendly energy sources; watching the
Super Bowl = less household appliances used = less energy
consumed per household.
iv. Geopolitics (or local politics): Because around 50 million people
outside of the US watch the Super Bowl, the United States can
show a side of itself that doesnt relate to the militarily or
corporations.
2. Examine the maps of US Agriculture and draw three conclusions about the
state of US food production.

Over half of the states in the US produce crops to be used solely as animal
feed
Almost all field corn produced in the US cant be eaten by humans
About 25 states produce crops that can be eaten by humans which their
most lucrative crops
