West Side Elementary

DEAR PARENTS,

Community Service within the School

We have some amazing kids in our school. We
would like to share the spirits of the students
with our parents. This month our Kindergarten
class has decided to do some community service.
We allowed the kids to choose and vote on what
they wanted to do for our community, as they
chose to clean up and perk up the Greers Ferry
Park on March 5, 2015. We will be lending a
hand in cleaning all the trash off the ground and
planting some new and lively flowers in the
garden. We will be repainting the benches and
picnic tables as well. If you would like to join us
in this awesome adventure please contact Mrs.

differing ways that you can get involved include
providing lunch and drinks, providing some
gardening tools, or just helping with the
activities while making sure each and every
student are safe while enjoying this activity. It is
important to us to instill a sense of pride and
responsibility in our kids.

If your child is in the grades of K-3RD Grade

and wants to show off their wonderful talents
please send the signed permission slip with
their talent to Mrs. Greene in the office by
Monday at 4pm. Each student is encouraged to
come forward and have fun with us in this great
time! We will be providing a dinner and a door
prize on the night of the talent show.

Little League Baseball Sign-ups

Does your child have interest in baseball? If so,
we would love for them to join us in Little
League. Please take your child to the doctor
and have a physical done, and send it with the
permission slip with them to school to turn in
to one of the teachers they have. We would also
like to have parental involvement in this sport.
If you are interested in finding a way to help
please contact the office and they will get you
set up! Thanks!!

Kindergarten through Third Grade

Art Show
West Side Elementary will be providing an Art
Show for the parents and others in the
community to show off each students art work
and creativity. We encourage you to join us for
dinner at 6 pm on May 2, 2015. We will be
holding it in the gymnasium. Bring guests with
you, the more the merrier! Come support us
and our students by enjoying our work, and if
you feel like please donate to our Art
Department! We look forward to seeing you
soon!!

school board meeting, if you have questions,
concerns, or just want to hear about what is
going on JOIN US!

Classes have a lot of important things coming up.
We would like to have you all involved if possible.
If you want to sign up for any event please lets us
know. We like to keep you updated with what our
